VIMM takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains, clearly and briefly, what data we process, why, on what legal basis, and what rights you have. We do not run advertising or profiling.

What data we process

We only process the data you share with us yourself and the data that is technically required to run our website securely:

  • When you contact us by e-mail or through a contact request: your name, your e-mail address and the content of your message.
  • Standard server logs: your IP address and technical data (such as the time and the page requested), recorded automatically for the security of our infrastructure and the prevention of abuse.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Handling and answering your request. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in following up on your message and, where applicable, taking pre-contractual steps at your request.
  • The security of our website and the prevention of abuse (server logs). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping our infrastructure safe and stable.

We do not use your data for advertising and do not apply profiling or automated decision-making.

Retention

We do not keep your data longer than necessary. Messages and contact details are kept for as long as it is useful to follow up on your request and, where applicable, for as long as a legal retention period requires. Server logs are kept briefly, for security and administration purposes only. After that, the data is deleted.

Recipients and processors

We do not sell your data and do not pass it on for commercial purposes. For hosting our website and processing e-mail, we rely on carefully selected providers who act only on our behalf and according to our instructions:

  • Hosting on our own European infrastructure at Hetzner (data centres in Germany and Finland).
  • The technical processing of e-mail traffic related to your request.

No transfers outside the EEA

Your personal data is processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). We do not transfer your data to countries outside the EEA.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

  • The right to access your personal data.
  • The right to rectification of inaccurate data.
  • The right to erasure of your data.
  • The right to restriction of processing.
  • The right to object to processing.
